Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting motor neurons, leading to muscle weakness and paralysis. Current treatments, like riluzole and edaravone, may slow progression. Our stem cell innovation aims to replace or protect damaged neurons. Improvements in strength, ambulation, bulbar function ( swallowing, speaking) have all occurred. There has been return to normal levels of the key indicator indicator of neuron damage called Neurofilament Light (NfL), suggesting neuron stabilization and healing.
